The pinch point temperature difference, ΔtPP , is usually between 5ºC and 15ºC. The lower the pinch point temperature difference, the higher the cost for the heat exchanger. On the other hand, the lower the pinch point temperature difference, the more heat is recovered from the flue gas to the water-to-steam process.
