Difference between planets and satellites are given below:
- Planet is a large heavenly body that revolves around a star whereas a satellite revolves around other planets or a massive body that has a higher gravitational pull.
- The size of a planet is always greater than of a satellite.
- One complete revolution of planets is higher than that of satellites due to their higher mass.
- Planets are natural celestial bodies whereas stars can be natural or artificial like "moon is a natural satellite" and Hubble telescope, International space station are examples of artificial satellites.
