Plantation is a process in which we can plant more and more trees . It is also known as afforestation whereas in shifting agriculture is used to shift the crop to another land .

Difference between shifting cultivation and plantation:
Shifting cultivation:
- The process in which the farmer shifts his cultivation process form already harvested farm to a new farm it is called as shifting cultivation.
- The yield obtained through this mode of cultivation is for self-consumption.
Plantation:
- The process in which the farmer plants the farm is called as plantation.
- The yield obtained through this mode of farming is for business or selling
