polar molecule is ionic bond and forms strong bond

non polar molecule is covalent bond and forms weak bond

a polar molecule has an electronegative element which makes the bond polar

since the electronegative element attracts the electrons towards itself and such molecules containing such kind of bonds are called polar molecules

for example : H2O in which O is electronehative

a non polar molecule has no electronegative element hence there is no dipole moment in the molecule leading to non polar bonds

for example: CH4 (methane)

manu7594: thanks. what s sigma and pie bond. types and their formation
parakhcmd: sigma bond is the single bond formed between any two atoms
parakhcmd: in pi bond it is double bond in which it contains one sigma and one pi bond
parakhcmd: remember one thing that sigma bond is always stronger than a pi bond
venky4567: sigma bond is nothing but strong bond where the orbitals are completly combined and pie bond is a weak bond where the orbitals are partially combined
manu7594: types of sigma bond and their formation
parakhcmd: then u must add it in a new question because there is a big answer for the question u are asking
manu7594: give reason sigma bond s stronger than pie bond
venky4567: sigma is stronger due to the orbitals are completely combined
venky4567: pie bond is weak due to the orbitals are partially combined
