Answer: When the electronagetivities of bonded atoms in a covalent bond are same, there are no poles of negative or positive ions. this bond is known as non-polar bond and it is always formed b/w like atoms such as two hydrogen atoms are combined to form H2 gas, electronegativity of both atoms are same as they are atoms of similar elements. such type of bond is known as non-polar bond.

when the difference in electronegativities of bonded atom is upto 1.7 then the polar bond is formed because there is partially positive and partially negative charged ions in the molecule

Explanation:

Polar molecular occur when there is an electronegativity the bonded atom.

Non polar molecules occur when electron are shared equal between atom of a diatonic molecules
