Embryo sac is the female gametophyte formed by the mitotic division of the functional megaspore. The other name of embryo sac is female gametophyte or megagametophyte. There are numerous pollens present within a pollen sac. A typical embryo sac of angiosperm is 7-celled and 8-nucleated structure at maturity
