Porifera-

1. They are mostly marine, non - motile, found attached to rocks.

2. They show cellular level of organization.

Coelenterate -

1. Exclusively marine animals that either live in colonies or have a solitary life span.

2. They show tissue level of organization

poriferans are the animals whose evolution has lead to the coelentrates . there is water canal system in poriferans and coelentrates do not have water vascular system . in poriferans the larva name is sycon and in coelentrates the larva name is amphia . it contains metageneasis
