A location of the internet which is publicly accessible with the unique URL (web address) is known as Website, In the case of Portal it is a private location and can be accessed with the URL with unique user Id and password.A Website can be seen by everyone while the portal page can be seen only by the portal members.The content cannot be changed for Different Individuals in a website whereas in Portal the content is unique to the user based on account information and group member permission.The Website can have Interactive Feature but does not reference the personalized database. However, there is the secure access point for the personalized information in the Portal.
