Kinetic energy
The energy of a body or a system with respect to the motion of the body or of the particles in the system.
Kinetic energy can be transferred from one moving object to another . During collisions
K.E. = ½mv².
Where ,m = mass of object or body in kg
v= velocity of object in m/sec
Potential energy
Potential Energy is the stored energy in an object or system because of its position or configuration.
Potential energy can not be transferred .
P.E. = mgh
where, m= mass of object in kg .
g= acceleration due to gravity (9.8 m /sec ) .
h= height of object .
