potential resources are the resources present around us but they are not utilized properly. This may be due to non - availability of technology or means. oceanic tides waterfalls and rivers in our country can be put to potential use for generation of electricity if infrastructure is available. While Actual resources are those resources which have been developed by man for his own use and which are being continuously utilized . Coal, Petroleum, Uranium, etc come under this category.
