Rajya Sabha:
- Council of State
- Vice President is the Speaker
- Bill Passed by Lok Sabha After consideration is either sent to President to become a Law or sent back to Lok Sabha for Reconsideration
- Rajya Sabha is a Permanent Body
- There are 245 members in Rajya Sabha (at present) of which, 233 are elected by Vidhan Sabha and 12 selected by the President
Lok Sabha:
- House of People
- Speaker is from Lok Sabha
- Anything to become a Law is passed by Lok Sabha to Rajya Sabha for consideration
- There are 545 members in Lok Sabha(at present).

LOK SABHA
1. Members of Lok Sabha are directly elected by the eligible voters.
2. The normal life of every Lok Sabha is 5 years. After five years the term of all elected representatives comes to an end. The Lok Sabha stands dissolved.
3. The maximum strength of the House is 552.
4. Money Bills can only be introduced in the Lok Sabha. Also it is the Lok Sabha which grants the money for running the administration of the country.
5. The Lok Sabha is more powerful than the Rajya Sabha.
RAJYA SABHA
1. Members of Rajya Sabha are elected by the elected members of State Legislative Assemblies. 2. The Rajya Sabha is a permanent body. It is not subject to dissolution, but one-third of its member retire every two year.
3. It has not more than 250 members.
4. The Rajya Sabha does not exercise much power over Money Bills.
5. The Rajya Sabha is less powerful than the Lok Sabha
