Pond water is some sort of stagnant water that may contain dirt or bacteria and may be impure and not consumable which also contains living organisms. But distilled water is processed and purified water that can be consumed directly and doesn't contain bacteria and is used for various purposes and it is an insulator of electricity whereas pond water is not.
