Praries are the grasslands in the midpart of North America they are known for their extremes. They are a lifeline to the american farmers who have 1000ds of hectares of land there.

While velds are the dry grasslands of savannah, Africa they are the home to several wildlife as well as their sanctuaries. Like praries they too have extreme climatic conditions.
