Both of the words closely means same and can be used interchangeably.
Belief about certain group of people is stereotype. It is usually exaggerated and can be positive or negative. For example, rich people are corrupt people.
Prejudice is also the same but is mostly negative. For example, Chinese product are cheaper and are of low quality.
