The secondary cell wall, a thick layer formed inside the primary cell wall after the cell is fully grown. It is not found in all cell types.

Difference Between Primary and Secondary Cell wall :-
Primary Cell wall :-
- Hemicellulose more (50%)
- Primary wall have lipid (5-10%) and protein (5%)
- Form by intussuception
- Primary wall is universal layer
Secondary wall :-
- Hemicellulose less (25%)
- Protein and lipid either absent or in little amount .
- Absent in meristem cells
