- Primary Pollutants are directly emitted from the process such as fossil fuel consumption, volcanic eruption and factories.
- The major pollutants are oxide of sulpher, oxide of nitrogen, oxide of carbon etc.
- The secondary pollutants are not emitted directly.
- When the primary pollutants react with themselves or other component of the atmosphere.
- Most secondary level pollutants are Ground level Ozone, Smog and PoPs(persistent organic pollutants).
