Difference between primary and secondary pollutants ? Explain how these pollutants are harmful for hjmans and environment in about 250 words.

  • Primary Pollutants are directly emitted from the process such as fossil fuel consumption, volcanic eruption and factories.
  • The major pollutants are oxide of sulpher, oxide of nitrogen, oxide of carbon etc.
  • The secondary pollutants are not emitted directly.
  • When the primary pollutants react with themselves or other component of the atmosphere.
  • Most secondary level pollutants are Ground level Ozone, Smog and PoPs(persistent organic pollutants).
