Difference between prism spectra and grating spectra

The prism spectra and grating difference is given below:

• In the prism spectrum, the spectrum is formed due to the  dispersion of light.
• But in the grating spectra it is due to the diffraction of light.
• The prism spectra is continuous but the grating spectra having the line spectra.
• In the prism spectra we cannot differentiate the spectral lines but in the grating spectra we can distinguish the lines of spectra.
• In the prism spectra red having the highest wavelength and closer to the direct ray but in the grating spectra, the violet has highest wavelength as it near to the direct ray.
