Difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell

The nuclear material (DNA) is distributed in the cell without being enclosed in a nuclear membrane .This condition of the cell is called prokaryotic.
But,organisms having a well - defined nucleus with a nuclear membrane us called eukaryotic

Cell size is generally small.

Nuclear region called nucleoid and not surrounded by a nuclear membrane.

Only a single chromosome is present.

Nucleolous is absent.

Membrane bound cell organelles are absent.

Cell division is by fission or budding.

Eukaryotic Cell :-

Cell is generally large.

Nuclear material is surrounded by a nuclear membrane.

More than one chromosome are present.

Nucleolous is present.

Cell organelles is bounded by membrane and are present.

Cell division is by meiotic.
