the difference between electron and proton is that electron is (particle) the subatomic particle having a negative charge and orbiting the nucleus; the flow of electrons in a conductor constitutes electricity whileproton is (particle) positively charged subatomic particle forming part of the nucleus of an atom and determining the atomic number of an element;

electron are negatively charged

proton is inside the nucleus
electron is outside the nucleus

proton have mass
electron have negligible mass
