Chloroplasts carry out their energy interconversions by means of protongradients in much the same way thatmitochondria do. Both mitochondria and chloroplast have highly permeable outer membrane, a much less permeable inner membrane and narrow intermembrane space. Together these membranes form thechloroplast envelop.

Mitochondria

1)found both in plants and animals

2)No pigments

3)Power house of cell

4)Produces ATP

Chloroplast

1)found in plants,usually

2)green pigment chlorophyll found

3)No such special name.

4)Convert sun's energy to be of use to the plant, photosynthesis takes place because of this.
