Prudential reasons :-

-they are based on careful calculation of gains and losses.

-It help to reduce the possibility of conflict between social groups.

-Reservation of constituency for minorities and women in India is a Prudential reason.


Moral reasons :-

- they are based purely on moral considerations.

-It considered as the basic spirit of democracy.

-Decentralization of power in India is an example of moral reason.

Prudential reasons :

The First Set Of Reason - It ensures power sharing will bring better outcomes.

It reduces the possibility of social conflict.

Since social conflict leads to political instability and vioence, it ensures stability of political power.

Tranny of majority is not only oppression for minority, sometimes it ruins majority as well.


Moral reasons :

The Second Set Of Reason - Power sharing is sprit of demoracy.

People have right to be consulted on how they should be ruled.

A legimate government is one government in which citizens throgh participation accquire stake in the system.
