When the data is collected from sources which already possess the information, then such sources are known as secondary sources of data. The sources of secondary data are mainly classified into published and unpublished. Under published sources, we have government publications, semi-government publications, private publications and publications by internal bodies. On the other hand, many a times when the data collected by government or such organisations remain unpublished, then these sources also act as a source of secondary data collection.
