Answer: The artery which carries Carbon dioxide rich blood from the the heart to the lungs is known as pulmonary artery.

The veins which carry Oxygen rich blood from the lungs to the heart are known as pulmonary veins. (There are four pulmonary veins.)

Pulmonary artery and pulmonary veins are exceptions of arteries and veins respectively because arteries generally carry Oxygen rich blood and veins generally carry Carbon dioxide rich blood.
