The increased need for higher production of dyed yarns, particularly those made of texturised polyester fibres, has led to many modifications in both dyeing procedures and machine construction. In particular, a modified procedure using a newly developed auxiliary is described. The need for more and greater accuracy of automation is stressed. The machines currently available are described briefly.
