difference between real and virtual image

The image formed when rays of light meet at a point after reflection/refraction is called real image. The image formed when rays of light appear to meet (when diverging rays are extended) at a point is called a virtual image. ... Virtual images are erect. Real images can be obtained on a screen.

Real image: Images which we can touch and form on screen are called real image.
Virtual image: Images which we cannot touch and are not formed on the screen are called virtual image.
