Regeneration:
Small broken parts or cut of the organisms body grow or regenerate into separate individuals.
Lizards cast off their tails to escape predators & then regenerate them .
Planaria can be cut into any number of pieces and each piece grows into a complete organism.
Budding:
In budding small parts of the body of the parent grows out as a bud which then detaches and become a new organism.
Hydra reproduces by budding using the regenerative cells. A bud develops as an outgrowth in Hydra due to repeated cell division at one specific site.when Fully mature, the bud detaches itself from the parent body and develops into new independent individuals.

Regeneration is a process wherein an organism loses one of its limbs. The organism is capable of regrowing this part once again. Examples of limbs that can be regenerated are tails in lizards, arms in star fish and liver to a certain extent in human beings. Regeneration takes place through a process called mitosis.
Budding is the formation of a daughter cell with the same genetic characteristics as the parent, but with a smaller size. This newly grown organism is detached from the body of the parent organism when it has attained enough growth. Examples of organisms that grow through budding are yeast cells and hydrae.
