1) Regeneration :-
(I) New organism develop from the body parts of certain organism.
(ii) The complex multicellular organism cannot give rise to complete individuals from their cut body parts through the process of regeneration.
(iii) It can be used to reproduce only those organisms which have relatively simple body organisation consisting of only few specialized cells.
Example ----> Planaria
Fragmentation
(I) The breaking up of the body of a simple multicellular organism into two pieces on maturing, each of which subsequently grows to form a complete new organism, is called fragmentation.
(ii) It is an asexual method of reproduction.
(iii) The reproduction by fragmentation method can occur in simple multicellular plants as well as plants.
Example :- Spirogyra and sea anemones
