fragmentation is a process in which a simple multicellular organism ITSELF gets divided into many pieces upon maturation and each piece will grow into a new individual .

this is a reproduction process.

for example :- spirogyra

regeneration is not a reproductive bcuz, it does not itself divides....

it is a process in which a simple organism gets divided when it is accidentally broken... it means that it has to wait to be cut accidentally to reproduce and so its not reproductive method..

and after being cut each piece will grow into a new individual.

for example:- star fish, hydra , etc
