anaphora is repetition of words at the beginning of clauses, while repetition can occur anywhere, and is a more general term that includes anaphora.

an example of anaphora, from Sherman Alexie's essay The Joy of Reading and Writing: Superman and Me, is:
I refused to fail. I was smart. I was arrogant. I was lucky. I read books late into the night, until I could barely keep my eyes open.

an example of repetition, from one of Edgar Allan Poe's poems is:
How the danger sinks and swells,
By the sinking or the swelling in the anger of the bells
Of the bells
Of the bells, bells, bells,bells,
Bells, bells, bells
In the clamor and the clangor of the bells!

Difference between repetition and anaphora in the poetry are as follows:-

"Anaphora" is a repetition of the first word before the clauses

some examples are -

don't break the shutters of the Windows

don't scatter the papers

don't throw down the books on the shelf

Here don't word is repeating so it is "anaphora".

"Repetition" is a repetition of the words at any place in the sentence

some examples are:-

frail crumbling houses, crumbling doors, crumbling rafters, scrambling Woods, crumbling bodies, crumbling leaves, crumbling hearts

here crumbling word is repeating again and again but at any where in the sentence so it is "Repetition"

I hope it will help you
