Answer:

Resistance is the physical property of a substance because of which it opposes the flow of current i.e. electrons. Resistivity is the physical property of a particular substance which is having particular dimensions. ... Resistivity is only proportional to the nature and temperature of the particular material.

RESISTANCE: When an electric current flows through a bulb or any conductor, the conductor offers some obstruction to the current and this obstruction is known as electrical resistance and is denoted by R. it is measured in ohm Ω.

According to Ohm’s law,

V ∝ I V = IR

Where,

V is the potential difference measured across the conductor (in volts)

I is the current through the conductor (in amperes)

R is the constant of proportionality called resistance (in ohms)

RESISTIVITY: resistivity is the electrical resistance of a conductor which is one metre in  length and has an area of cross section of one m^2. it is measured in Ω - metres(ohm - metres).

it is calculated by p = (R * A)/L

where p = resistivity of the conductor(in ohm-metres)

           R = resistance of the conductor(in ohm)

          A = area of cross section of the conductor(in metre square m^{2})

          L= length of the conductor.(in metres)
