Respiration :
- Chemical process
- Takes place in the cell
- The cells in the lungs ; take up oxygen , break it into ATP and then release energy .
- Only cells work
- Always involuntary
Breathing :
- Physical process
- No interference of cells
- Just the act of taking oxygen in and breathing out carbon dioxide.
- Lungs , trachea , nose ,etc . are also involved.
- Controlled during day and involuntary during sleep.
