A Revenue Village is a small regulatory domain in India, a village with established boundaries. One revenue village may comprise many concise arrangements called villages. The Village Administrative Officer is the leader of the Revenue Village.

A gram panchayat also known as village council is the only at the fundamental level of Panchayati Raj which constitutes a local self-governance system in India. this system is practiced at the settlement or small-town level where sarpanch is chosen as the administrative head.
