RAMSA i.e. Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan is an educational campaign, which was started in March 2009 under the 11th Five Year Plan. The main objective of this campaign was to make secondary education available to more and more children and to improve its quality. In this campaign, a provision was made to establish secondary schools at a reasonable distance in different settlements. In this campaign, the central government had to bear 75% and the state government had to bear 25% of the total cost of the campaign. This ratio was fixed at 50:50 in the 12th Five-Year Plan.

RUSA is the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan, which was launched in India in 2013 to encourage school-level higher education. The main objective of this campaign was to provide financial assistance to state-level higher educational institutions. Apart from this, the institutions had to be issued by the central ministry.
