Answer:

salivary amylase:- Amylase is an enzyme that is released in our saliva for the soul purpose of breaking down carbohydrates into simpler sugars. It is used as the initial step in chemically digesting our food. Since it’s in our mouth, and sugars are needed constantly, our body immediately begins to digest sugars as to prepare them ahead of time. There are far less carb digesting enzymes produced in our GI tract as well, so this is the main place for breaking down starches. Overall, it makes digestion faster, gets sugar into our bodies quicker, and aids in digestion.

saliva The fluid produced by the secretions of the salivary glands. Saliva contains enzymes that begin the digestion of starches. It also moistens the mouth tissues and makes food easier to chew and swallow.
