Parasite and saprophyte both are the organsim that follows heterotrophic
mode of nutrition i.e. they depend on obtaining nutrition /food from other organism.

in saprophytic mode of nutrition organisms feed and grow on dead plants or animal. in parasites the organisms derives it nutrition from another plant by sucking root present in parasites.
