Difference between saprophytic and parasitic nutrition with examples

Examples of parasites are lice, fleas, ticks and mites. The big difference between the two is the way the get their food. A mushroom feed on dead organic matter while a tick feed on a living host. Saprophytes are plants while parasites can be plants or animals.
