Difference Between Saturated and Unsaturated Fatty Acids. Saturated fatty acids do not contain double bonds C-C (only single bonds), whereas unsaturated fatty acids contain one or more double bonds C=C. The chain length of most common fatty acids is of 16-18 number of carbon.

In Saturated only one single bond between compounds , all alkanes are saturated compounds such as methane , ethane , propane etc..and unsaturated have double bond or triple bond occur between compounds.. Alkenes having double bond and Alkynes having triple bond.....
