saturated hydrocarbons are generally called as Alkanes as they have only single bond between the atoms.
Their general formulae is CnH2n.
saturated hydrocarbons generally burn with sooty yellow flame with lots of smoke.
Unsaturated hydrocarbons have double ,or triple bond between the atoms and are generally called as Alkenes or Alkynes.
They burn with non -sooty blue flame.
