scalar quantity :

the physical quantities which have only one magnitude no direction is called scalar quantities

vector quality :

the physical quantities which has both magnitude and direction is called vector quantity

Scalar-(1)It is a physical quantity which includes only magnitude.(magnitude is the numerical value of the physical quantity)
(2)It doesn't have direction.
(3)Example-speed,distance etc.
Vector-(1)It is a physical quantity which contains magnitude as well as direction.
(2)It is always accompanied with a direction.
(3)Example-Velocity,displacement etc.
