Sectional Interest Group:-
The groups which seek to promote the interest of a particular section or group of a society are called sectional interest groups.
These types of groups do not promote collective interests, but only promote sectional interests.
The main aim of the sectional interest group is the welfare of the member of a particular section of the society.
Indian Trade Unions are the best example of sectional interest group.
Public Interest Group:-
The groups which do not seek to promote the interest of a particular section of the society, but for various sections of the society as a whole are called public interest groups.
They are called public interest groups because they do not promote selective interests but promote collective interests.
The main aim of the public interest groups is the welfare of the members of the different sections of the society collectively and which may also include the entire society.
'BAMCEF' (Backward and Minority Communities Employees' Federation) in India is the best example of public interest groups.
