Self discipline means having full control over yourself. This includes your control over your mind, your words, your time, your body etc. Self discipline gives you brighter chance to achieve high peaks.
A role model is one who leads as an example for others. Others want to become like it. Just like Sachin Tendulkar in cricket, Bill Gates in technology, Narendra Modi in politics, Serena Williams in Sports etc. are role models for many.
