Self pollination is the pollination between the same plant having both male and female (i.e bisexual flower having pollens and flower) this type of pollination is very common in bisexual plants.

Cross pollinationis just opposite to it in this pollination both the gametes of same species are come from different plants or pollination between two plants.

Major difference is in these cases are seen after the pollination the self pollinated plants produces the same non variant progeny whichbare very closer or similar to thier parents i.e no variation occurs.

In cross pollinated plants the variants progeny are produced which slightly better and different from thier parents.

I hope you understand the concept of cross and self pollination, for further please ask.
