Self - Pollination

i) Pollen grains are  transferred to stigma of some flower

ii) Pollinating agent is not required

iii) Examples: Peanuts , Sunflower , etc .

Cross - Pollination

i) Pollen grains are transferred to stigma of different flower

ii) Pollinating agent such as Wind , Water , Insects , etc . is not required

iii) Examples :   Mango , Rose and most of the flowering plants .
