self pollination-when the pollen grains from the anther of a flower are transferred to the stigma flower or another flower on the same plant it is called self pollination.
cross pollination -when the pollen grains from the anther of a flower on one plant are transferred to the stigma of a flower on anoter similar plant it is called cross pollination. insects which sit on different flowers to suck nectar help in pollination by transferring pollen from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower.
