Both sentences and propositions are important in the English language. Both are two different entities.

Sentence:

  • The statement is the belief or the fact. It may be also the observation.
  • Example: I am going outside.
  • It generally ends with a (.) full stop.

Preposition:

  • This statement is a sort of invitation or asking someone.
  • Example: Will you come outside?
  • It generally ends with a question mark (?).
