Serum is the blood plasma from which fibrinogen or the clotting factors have been removed and it is amber colored in appearance while vaccine is any substance that stimulated the production of antibodies in the body against any antigen thus providing immunity to the body. Serum is composed of tissue fluid and antibodies. Antibodies are proteins that act against antigens thus providing passive immunity to the body. Vaccines are composed of weekend viruses or bacteria or parts of viruses or bacteria that actively play role in providing immunity to the body.
