Difference between session and connection in network

In the cisco world, a session and aconnection are the same thing. In juniper however a session is a bidirectional flow. Two way traffic of a "data flow". A connection is a single part of that flow typically.

a sesstion is the control plane communication between sender and receiver whereas connection is created by session that establishes a connection beween the senders port and receivers destination listening port.
