Sex ratio and dependency ratio:

The sex ratio is mainly the ratio of men to women in a population. In many sexually reproducing species, the ratio inclines to be 1:1. This tendency is elucidated by Fisher's principle.

• The dependency ratio is a degree of the number of dependents that ranges from ages zero to fourteen and over the age of 65, as compared with the entire population aged 15 to 64.
