Answer:

Shadow is formed when light is obstructed by an opaque object where as Image is the reflection of light rays by an object. shadow does not contain colour but image contains colour.

Image- 1. Image is formed due to reflection or refraction.

            2. Image is seen when light comes from the

               reflection or refraction enters the observer's eye.

            3. Image gives more information such colour,structure etc...about    

              the object.

Shadow- 1. Shadow is formed when the light falls on an opaque object.

                2. No light enters the eye from the Shadow of the object.

                3. Shadow does not provide any details about the object but it

                    gives an idea about the shape of the object.
