shifting cultivation is primarily done for subsistence and employs orthodox techniques that are less productive and also cause harm to the enviornment
however the plantation agriculture is mainly done not for self consumption but for generating income.the products if plantation agriculture are used as raw materials in industries. rubber is one such example of plantation

Plantation:
